Privacy Policy

Parents Meet AI (“PMA”, “we”, “us”) is a community for parents and guardians to talk about AI, parenting and education. It is operated by Prof. Fang Math in California, USA. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who can use PMA

PMA is only for parents and guardians who are 18 years or older. It is not for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

2. What we collect

• Account information: your email address, password (stored securely and encrypted by our login provider — we never see it) and the display name you choose.
• Optional profile information: profile photo, short bio, and state or country.
• What you post: discussions, homework questions and photos, replies, likes, private messages, reports and blocks.
• Basic technical information: information needed to keep you signed in and the service working (for example, login session data). We do not use advertising trackers.

3. How we use it

• To run the community: show your posts and replies, deliver private messages, and keep you signed in.
• To send account emails, such as sign-up confirmation and password reset.
• To keep PMA safe: review reported content and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.

4. What other members can see

• Your display name, profile photo, bio, state/country, posts, replies and likes are visible to other signed-in members.
• Private messages are visible only to you and the person you are messaging.
• Your email address is never shown to other members.

5. Please protect children’s privacy

Do not post children’s full names, photos of their faces, school names, teacher names or other identifying details. When sharing homework photos, cover or crop out any names. We may remove content that identifies a child.

6. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run PMA: Supabase (database, login and file storage), GitHub Pages (website hosting) and Resend (account emails). They process data only to provide these services to us.

7. Your choices and rights

• Edit your profile at any time in Profile → Edit profile.
• Delete your own posts, replies and photos at any time.
• Block other members in their profile.
• Delete your account in Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, profile, posts, replies, likes and messages.
• California residents may request access to or deletion of their personal information by emailing us.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access is protected by database security rules. No online service is 100% secure, so please do not share sensitive personal information on PMA.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. If we make important changes, we will let members know in the app.
